A nice afternoon lunch combination

Sun-dried tomato, chicken, broccoli delight. Just trying to eat
healthy combinations, though a lot less meats lately.

There is No Dollar Menu for the Right Foods

I have often said as I began to transform my eating habits that it is expensive to eat right.  I now have added to that another phrase.

It is expensive to eat right, but it is more costly to eat off the dollar menu.

Because convenient food for so long has been also, the worst food for your body, in most cases only barely qualifying to be called "food", I have been amazed lately to see places like Sprouts, and Fresh and Easy spring up near me.  While I still do most of my healthy shopping at Whole Foods, Fresh and Easy, and Sprouts have become mainstays in my quest for healthier, affordable eating.

I have found that trying to adopt too quickly an all raw lifestyle, has left me still craving certain other foods to fill certain gaps, I am going back to doing an Isagenix Whey Protein shake in the morning and evening and fruits and veggies all day long.  This definitely allows me to be more alert in the middle of the day and leaves me feeling healthier than I used to when my middle of the day meal was Chinese food or sandwiches or whatever else I used to consider standard lunch fare.

My body is changing, but I actually seem to have added a few pounds during my initial quest to change to an all fruit diet.  Low fats, lower carbs I thought, but still something not right.  Still I search for the right way to eat for my body.

Currently weighing in at 226 lbs and yes I know that weight isn't everything, I need to get my fat percentage checked also.
